Ruqin REN

Ruqin Ren is currently an assistant professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry (ICCI). She earned her PhD from USC Annenberg School for Communication. Her research focuses on the intersection of human-computer interaction, organizational communication, and collective intelligence systems. She is also interested in social network analysis, statistical modeling and other quantitative research methods. Her works have appeared in peer-reviewed publications including New Media & Society, Internet Research, Communication Research, PLOS One, ACM CHI conference. She has received support from several government-funded grants. She also has professional working experiences at Ant Financial UX Research, Facebook UX Research before joining SJTU. She holds an M.A. from Georgetown University's Communication, Culture, and Technology program, and B.A. in English, B.S. in Business Management from University of International Business and Economics.
