ICCI adopts internationally standardized governance structure under SJTU. Its governance structure includes a Joint Institutional Committee and two Steering Committees: The Academic Committee and the Advisory Committee. The Dean has overall responsibilities for the Institute under the Joint Institutional Committee’s leadership. As the key administrative representative of the Institute, the Dean is the designated official representative for public relations development with relevant Chinese authorities.
The Joint Institutional Committee is the supreme authority of the ICCI and in charge of all the major decision-makings regarding the Institute’s development. The Joint Institutional Committee will meet once a year to review the development of ICCI and discuss the future plan.
The Academic Committee is organized mainly to provide advices and decision-making supports for ICCI’s academic programs, teaching and its further development, including faculty search and hiring, evaluation and promotion, curriculum design, human resource development and other major administration services.
The Advisory Committee is organized mainly to provide advices and decision-making supports for the Institute’s further development, to help establish and expend partnership between the Institute and the industries, so as to provide sufficient supports for the Institute’s future fund raising, endowment, internship, scholarships, placements and so forth.
