Yucheng Zhu obtained his Bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in June 2015, and his Ph.D. degree from the same university in March 2021. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from March 2021 to March 2023. In April 2023, he joined the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry at Shanghai Jiao Tong University as an Assistant Researcher, where he focuses on researching in multimedia signal processing, virtual reality and digital human technology in the metaverse. He has received Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has published over 10 papers in core journals such as IEEE/ACM Transactions, including six as the first author. He has also served as a reviewer for internationally renowned journals and conferences such as IEEE T-IP, T-CSVT, DSP, DISPLAY. He received the highest overall accuracy award in the Salient360 Grand Challenge at the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo (ICME) 2017 for his research on visual saliency modeling. He also won the Grand Prize in the Panoramic Video Visual Saliency and Behavior Prediction Challenge at ICME 2018 as the first author for his research on visual saliency and behavior prediction.
