The Center (CCED) aligns with the college's internationalized, interdisciplinary, and industry-oriented educational philosophy by coordinating both domestic and international industry–education resources; it provides comprehensive support for the organization of teaching materials for the college's core course "Research on the Cultural and Creative Industry"; leads the implementation of teaching innovations under the "ICCI-DoBe Industry-Education Innovation Fund"; and supports the learning and innovative creative practices of ICCI students.

Focusing on industry needs, the Center is a collaborative project based bridge to connect domestic and international industries with academia, establishing industry–academia–research joint working groups to foster innovative research, promote exchange and cooperation, and advance educational development. The scope of work encompasses cultural and creative entrepreneurship, urban and rural cultural planning, digital and AI content creation, cultural and creative data assets, international curation, and brand globalization; through activities such as teaching, research and seminars, specialized consulting, and training and incubation programs, the Center facilitates collaborative innovation between industry and education.

The Center regularly organizes irregular industry-academia-research exchange events, continuously collaborates with both international and domestic cultural and creative industries, and jointly promotes the internationalization, sustainable innovation, and development of China's cultural and creative sector.

To thoroughly implement the national strategic deployment regarding scientific and technological innovation and women's development, to support Shanghai in accelerating its efforts to build a globally influential center for scientific and technological innovation and an international hub for talent, and to assist in the development of the Shanghai–Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt by establishing a regional collaborative innovation system, the Center, on the afternoon of May 16, in collaboration with the Haiyun Women's Entrepreneurship and Employment Guidance Service Center, organized a promotional event for the Women's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and a university seminar. This event was held in conjunction with the "She Creates – Towards New Pudong, Building the Future" 2026 Shanghai Women's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the 10th "Women Creator " Competition of Pudong New Area, the "Innovation & Sharing: Elite Talent" Invitational Competition along the Shanghai–Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt, and the 11th Women's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Putuo District.

On the afternoon of May 12,2026, in collaboration with the Shangchuanghui Incubator, the Changning District Employment Promotion Center, and the Tianshan Road Subdistrict, and as a representative of the Shanghai Entrepreneurship Guidance Expert Volunteer Group, we provided entrepreneurship guidance to the project founders at the Donghua University Shangchuanghui Incubator. The session, titled "Igniting Entrepreneurial Thinking – Unlocking the Journey from 0 to 1," utilized practical case studies to focus on core stages of the entrepreneurial startup process—such as ideation generation, timing assessment, resource transformation, and business model construction—aiming to help university students and young entrepreneurs clarify the path for transforming ideas from '0' to '1', interpret key challenges encountered during the transition from planning to implementation, and support founders in achieving a steady start.

On May 10, 2026, which marked the 10th China Brand Day, the Seminar on Branding and Promotion of the WorldSkills Competition and the Coordinated Development of Culture, Tourism and Business co-organized by the Center was successfully held at the WorldSkills Museum beside the Huangpu River. Guided by the Shanghai Executive Bureau for the 48th WorldSkills Competition, the event was jointly hosted by the Shanghai Society of Labor and Social Security, the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce and the Shanghai Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Association, and undertaken by Zhongqi Wanbo (Shanghai) Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. Around 100 attendees, including leaders from relevant departments of the WorldSkills Competition Executive Bureau, representatives of the hosting organizations, as well as experts and enterprise guests from Shanghai’s culture, business, tourism, sports and exhibition sectors, participated in the seminar. The Center, together with the WorldSkills Museum and KGC, served as co-organizers and took charge of organizing and hosting the roundtable discussion themed How Large-scale International Events Such as WorldSkills Boost the Coordinated Development of Culture, Business and Tourism.

On April 29,2026, the 2026 National Cultural and Tourism Premium Projects – Lingang Global Expansion Conference was held at the Lingang Center within the Shanghai Lingang New Area. Invited by the conference, the Center participated in the event and exhibited its work titled "The Future: A Platform for International Youth Digital and Intelligent Cultural Exchange and Co-creation," receiving approval and encouragement from officials of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Additionally, the Center assisted the conference in organizing and presiding over a roundtable forum themed "AI + OPC: Empowering the Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Ecosystem for Cultural and Tourism."
