The documentary sector of 7th Beijing International Film Festival opened officially on April 17th, with a list of 23 Official Selection Films published one day after. China’s Van Goghs, the full-length documentary co-produced by ICCI professor Kiki Tianqi YU and her father Haibo Yu was awarded the Best Sino-foreign Co-Produced Documentary.
Beijing International Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in China. As an important part of the festival, the documentary sector attracts 223 documentaries in contest home and abroad. The jury board of the doc-sector consisted of three international award-winning judges and four domestic experts.
The documentary, China’s Van Goghs, depicts the life of workers who are doing art reproduction of Van Gogh’s paintings in Shenzhen, China.
