Attending were Ben LEE, USC Co-Director of the Center, Clinical Professor at Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and Jinzhang JIANG, Vice Dean of ICCI and SJTU Co-Director of Zizhu New Media Management Research Center, Feng ZHAO, Vice Dean of ICCI, Yanting SHI, Senior Program Manager of Administration Affairs Office of ICCI, and more than 10 researchers from SJTU ICCI, School of Media & Communication and Antai College of Economics & Management. The meeting was chaired by Ben LEE.

All SJTU research participants signed the Research Sponsorship Agreement during the meeting.

Ben LEE and Jinzhang JIANG congratulated the participants on their successful application, and awarded approval certificates.

After that, Ben Lee explained highlights of the Centers development, the first round’s research progress, and the reimbursement policy of Zizhu funds; Jinzhang JIANG highlighted the research achievements. He said that the Center accepts publications of solely owned results and jointly owned results. Publications include books, book chapters, journal articles, research reports and industry-oriented consulting reports. He also introduced the international symposium to be held in 2020 to the participants; Feng ZHAO and Ben LEE explained the Center’s partnership with the Zizhu group, and the partnership’s expectations.

Yanting SHI explained the procedures for reimbursement, pointing out detailed requirements, different categories, rates, as well as precautions,.

The discussion session was lively, and Ben LEE, Jiangzhang JIANG and Feng ZHAO answered the participants’ questions.

When concluding the meeting, Jinzhang JIANG thanked everyone’s support and wished participants success and fulfillment in their projects.
